check the rad fan to see if its working accordingly to thermo engage temp (if u have temp gum) and check overflow (while hot)for oil or bubbles pull off rad cap while running (cold start) to see if coolant produces a gyser. or just simply leak test the coolant system. check ur oil for water

im about to try this. im going to hope that it doesnt happen. honestly if it comes down to it being the water pump, instead of buying the part and installing it and doing the timing again, im just going to buy a b20 block w/ low miles (my motor has 221k) is there any way to check the water pump?

It will constantly foul your plugs. If you have oil leaking on your tranny you might as well replace the cam seal while you're doing the other gaskets.

blah yeah school I think has everyone bogged down. I'm at school now stalling before I actually start studying lol But I did want to drop by and say Hi to everyone. Its flooding hardcore here in cali so I had to leave my DA at home and bust out my truck. I saw a wrx stalled out in 2 feet of water I was so hurt I couldnt even laugh at that man he should have taken another street and bust a u-turn or something. Guess he knows that now. Take care folks have a good one

LOL, I feel you there man...I do the same thing the biggest pain is taking my turbo stuff off..but my friends will stop by and come back and the motor would be out and they always think I have help...Once you swap a motor in and out about 5 times you start getting quick at it..

you have to take the cam cap off but then you just switch them. its easy. and DONT try to torque the cam cap back down. every time my friends or i have tried to torque them down by the book, the bolts snap. just tighten them up to where you feel comfortable with a rachet.

tegman- hahaha, yeah i know all the tricks to get my motor in and out smoothly by myself now. i finally got tired of waiting for help one day and did it my damn self and have been ever since. i dont even ask for help anymore. yet everyone still expects me to help them. its bull **** but what do ya do
