What block is it?

I would say build something "mild" on the side to handle some boost and you would be set!

Default being a part of the DA squad

1. I've had my DA for about 6 months... i chose the DA for it's sexy lines and it's awesomness! when i first got my DA it was pretty much stock.. had some rota track r's on it and a crappy ebay header and exhaust... within the first week it had rota slipstreams on it.. after that i put the jdm one pieces in, took off the crappy ebay parts.. installed an AEM intake, DC sports header, HKS hi-power exhaust, D2 one piece full coilovers and LCA's, Suspension techniques front and rear sway bars and energy suspension bushings. and to top it off i threw a carbon fiber hood on it.
2. I like the fact that i drive a 19 year old car and heads still turn when i drive by.
3.future plans may include a turbo maybe... or an N/A build not sure yet, she is my daily.
4. The reason i wanna be in the DA squad is cause i think proud DA owners should stick together.

B18B.
Still not sure, might go N/A for now I can always tear it down for new pistons and cams.
I just want the lumpy idle of some NASTY cams.

EDIT: On top of that I don't think that 12:1CR and boost would be too much of a bitch seeing as how the pistons and rods will be forged. Crank will be windage cut and micro polished. Only think I'd have to work about it the walls. I think a low boost level and some DAMN good tuning shouldn't give me an issues.

whoa....you dont want to go THAT high of compression for boost man. thats gettin a lil too high for boost. i'd go 10.5, 11 at MOST. 12 is just askin for problems. as soon as you start doin high compression turbo, your tuning has to be 100% on the money, no room for errors at all! with lower compression there is a lil more room to not have a perfect tune, but with high comp. its gotta be on the money or it will detonate and bye by motor/money!

if you're plannin on starting out all motor and then boosting, i wouldnt go higher than 10.5:1 also consider head gasket thickness as that will lower comp. a lil bit too depending on what you get. also those nasty all motor cams you'd be using would have to be changed out for turbo cams as well.

some things for you to think about. not tryin to sound like a dick, just tryin to help you man.

my friends built a b16 turbo with rods, pistons, headgasket, and your still heard vtec plain as day. followed very quickly by the sound of the waste gate opening up and the turbo screamin....oh yeah, and that was on 18 pounds

So what would you guys recommend.....Stick with an LS and slap on a turbo? Build an all-motor LS/Vtec? Or go ***** deep and work for a B20/Vtec....Turbo?!!?

Lol...I have so many ideas that I don't know what one to pick. I'm currently pullin an all-motor LS completely redone inside and out and I'm just not feelin it anymore. I'm ready for somethin new and I'm open to suggestion.

Reply to me here or PM me with some ideas. Any help is good help!!

I def wouldn't say ***** Deep is a B20 Vtec Turbo, that would be a bad idea anyway. In order to make "***** Deep" power you would need a big turbo, a big turbo requires revs, B20 block = NO revs..........

GSR turbo or LsVtec Turbo! Build right, do some research!

Welll, I'm lookin to build over 300hp...close to 400hp. I want something fast but within reason cause I will be takin this car on the streets. I'll do what it has to take to get there but this isnt' gonna be strictly a race car if you follow me.

I didn't know that much about the B20 setup. I wasn't aware that it didn't get good revs. I did know that it had a better displacement which meant more power. I am probably going to go with an Ls/Vtec setup than since I already have the block. Is turboing a vtec ultimately safe though? As far as I'm concerned it is but I've heard crap about the extra air flow of the vtec screwing up the turbo or some non sense like that.

Oh by the way here's a few pics of my car and my app for the squad...hope you fellas like:

1. I've had my DA since 2004. The day I bought it, I got inot an accident with it on the trailer on the way home. It was a rough relationship from the start. When I first got her, she was 100% bone stock. By 2006, it was repainted, lowered, and had a few bolt ons to the motor. Inside I had some racing seats, a Grant steering wheel, and some painted dash and door accessories to accent it. I name my car Mell recently due to a recent relationship that still isn't going well and is very similar to that of my car's. No matter how good I treat the car, she is still a B**** but that should change soon.
2. I love everthing about my DA. It is an emotional thing between and her. I can't imagine how I would feel if I got red of it. I chose the car based on price, tunability, and style at the time of purchase. I didn't know it would turn into a love like this and now I keep the car because it has become a part and a way of life.
3. I have a lot of plans and don't want to leak out much but I'm going for an LS/Vtec turbo setup, black paint, some bronze 16" rims, cleaning everything up a bit, getting a Wings West lip kit, putting some racing seats w/harnesses in the car and dropping the car a little lower.
4. I want to be in the squad because I want to learn and give what there is to be taught about Da's. I don't know everthing there is to know and neither does everyone else but together we can help one another know our cars inside and out.

Oh and Dee, I feel ya on the e-brake cup holder. I thought I was the only one. I was cracking up when I saw that lol.

And here are some photos:

this was after having the car for about a year.

Love this pic.

This was the car right before I got the JDM One pieces

That was the car on its final day before laid to rest a while. Tagless

Not my finest piece of work.

300 - 400 is easily attainable with a decent build and reliable with great tuning!
It really seems to me that you are new to the high performance car world. I HIGHLY suggest you do A LOT of research about what you want to do. Putting time in and doing the research will ensure you build what you want and know what you are building and should be expecting. Honda-tech is a good place to learn!
Good Luck!

Oh and whoever said "extra air flow of the vtec screwing up the turbo"......... Just look how many 12,11,10,9,8, etc second LS turbo cars there are
In case you don't get the joke, slim to none!!!!!!!!
