You'll need motor mounts (you can buy nice Hasports through HMO for a discounted price HIGHLY SUGGEST doing that as well as getting the optional LSD for $300 (I did this)) a correct wiring harness with Vtec, axles (B series), exhaust, and something else I can't think of to be honest...I'm sure you can rig together an exhaust but easier to just buy the correct one. You're looking close to $2500 if you do the labor yourself with the shipping, mounts, axles and optional LSD ALSO, I suggest getting a new timing belt while you have it out of the bay anyways, it may or may not need one, but it's always a good thing to do on those blocks even though HMO is VERY VERY good with their customer service. I LOVE HMO HIGHLY recommend. Oh you'll also need shift linkage.

As for short shifter question - I have the B&M one, it's like $150 and one of the best short shifters you can buy and I LOVE it. Shifts are SO nice and short and easy to click into.
ok cool what wireing harness should. this guy around my town told me to get one out of a del sol.

i have heard very good things about hmo, but should i do a oem rebuild kit or leave it alone cause the only thing i am gonna do to the motor is put in ctr cams from the b16b, and just bolt ons.

sorry for so many question just want to do everything right so i won't have to redo anything. cause this will be my dd/auto x

if u have a 96-98 car. u need a 96-98 EX vtec harness. some wires will have to be lengthened for the Bswap.
if u have a 99-00 car. u will need either a 99-00 EX harness OR an Si coupe harness. the latter being the easiest to install (plug and play) since its a B16 too.

You also need the front facing trans torque mount bracket. Reuse your mounts.

My bumper will still line up fairly well without the bracket, but over time when the bumper shrink you will find it undesirable. Honda did make it for a reason so that the bumper won't go inside and don't line up with the fender.

I won't say the car in picture shown line up perfectly but I would say fairly well. As you can see the area between the bumper and bottom of headlight need some adjustment, the headlights basically pop out from the bumper at the bottom area.

Eh easier to buy the Hasports, nice stiff sturdy good engine mounts AND for $300 it's a steal.

What Battle said about the harness...it NEEDS to be Vtec though no matter what either being a SOCH or DOCH it still needs the Vtec unless you want to wire it in yourself to your old harness...pain in the *** though, took me 10 hours of wiring to do it ones (but I did it right, deleted a bunch of useless junk)

Honestly, HMO has really good engines normally, and if you have a shop install it (or you're certified or whatever) and it doesn't start then they send you a new block.

Just the cams or are you going to get pistons too? You should be fine, make sure you get some springs and retainers though Type R ones will work fine, but Skunk2 makes good stuff as well as a load of other companies. Just a suggestion on that. I think you'll be fine if you run just cams but I'd have to look to make sure, which you can do too (google is your friend )

Even if you buy those mounts you will still need the Honda brackets I mentioned. Buying mounts is not necessary to swap from a D to B, save your money.

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

My g/f just got into a front end collision. From what I can see, there was really no frame damage. Radiator support, hood, bumper and headlights will need to be replaced, as well as a new condenser and what ever else was damaged.

The driver in front of her slammed on the brakes because a dog ran into the road and she didn't have time to react. That was what she told me, I wasn't with her. Speed limit is 50mph on that back road.

Scary part is, we had just done a brake job and I put all the old parts in her trunk. When the collision happened, everything flew into the passenger compartment. One of the brake pads was on top of the dash.

I'm just glad she came out of it fine. She's having a little bit of pains in her arm and neck, and also a few rashes as a result of the airbag. She's more depressed, sad, angry and scared than anything. She just got the car and then this happens.

Oh well... What can you do? I guess the rebuild starts tomorrow. Hopefully we can get it back on the road soon.

Sorry for the long post. Had to vent.

Glad to hear she fine. Cars can always be replaced, I'm sure your aware of that. Feels good knowing you have INS. The story sucks, but the most important thing is intact

It looks like you're making good progress though, my car was like yours before, big gaudy body kit and shiz. I slowly saved up picked up an SI front end, fogs, lip kit and tomorrow my rims are going bye bye gonna get some drag dr20's I think. Just keep workin at it and it'll be a nice little car. I'm still trying to get rid of my hood though, lol.
