hey guys, maybe one of you can help me. i know its not civic related its in regards to my integra. i took my car to my buddy's shop and it turns out one of my rear rotors is warped. my other buddy who has a DA (91 i believe) has an extra set of rotors. will his fit my car ?? and should i get new brake pads too?

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2
If the rotors fit, use 'em. You don't have to buy new pads. If yours have a lot of meat, just run 'em down. Ideally, you would turn the rotors if they are used and within min. thickness (stamped on rotors) and run new pads. If you have a lot of meat on your pads and are trying to save money, just use them. They will gouge the rotors a bit and the surface won't be as smooth as it could be but they are wear and tear parts and become trash eventually anyway. Ideal, turn rotors and new pads. On the cheap, scuff rotors and clean pads with brake cleaner. Take it easy on them for a while until the rotors mate to the pads.

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2
thanks Port. i knew you would be the one to chime in lol
so i should take them somewhere and get them re-surfaced? is that expensive?
the brakes still have some meat on them so my dad suggested the same thing. file them down and reuse them.
Thanks again Port

10bux to turn em still does it for me. im using china made rotors.
autozone has the cheapest rotors for ~$26 i believe and pads ~$29
yeah mike i haven't been anywhere with d 4dr really but around town.
car is lower now. got my buddy club roll center adjusters/ext ball joints in.
and my new ultra quiet exhaust setup. no more eardrum shattering spoon
WELCOME, stubs and wicked
