DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IN THE COLD! NOR IN HIGH HUMIDITY!! 70F is probably the coolest I'd spray at 95F the most.

My best advice is to be patient, and pay attention. This is a action and reaction style paint job. What you do will affect the results. If I suggest something, subconsciously you may go over and abroad, or even below what I did. Then you'll turn around and say I suck. LOL! you can use any wrinkle paint, and follow manufacturer specs on the can, but start slow and you'll understand exactly what I am saying.

I'm guessing it sprays similar to a truck bed coating then. It's not cold here so I may try to do this on something that is laying around to get the right technique on doing it down. Thanks for the heads up tho.lol

EK - the most popular one, and the one I've used before too is VHT. I looked around local but couldn't find it so I just bought it from Summit Racing.

The application is just like any other spray paint, but the drying and heat make it wrinkle. When I used it on my old valve cover I put it in the oven to quicken it up, though I wouldn't really recommend doing this because our apartment smelled like spray paint for a few days I've heard people using a heat gun as well to dry it and make it wrinkle.

Good to know about the paints and about not using the oven in the house. I was gonna do this on the VC so the VHT would work best.

OK..I'll chime in here. Best bet is let mother nature do her thing. here's my quick DIY: the rest is up to you.

Paint choice: Dupli-color wrinkle ($8.00)
Avail: Any hardware store - I went to slaughter-zone (autozone)
Part painted: ( strut bar)

Step 1: I sanded it down w/ 800grit ( removed mild rust, next I washed w/ mild detergent - hand soap will do )

Step 2: I found this works best, but I chose to build my coats for durability ( time will see if it was true ) Cover surface entirely, Apply directionally in med heavy sweeping motions. left to right, up and down. 5 min between coats.

(note: watch how it cures, if the results are satisfactory, repeat )

Step 3: If you have non-wrinkle or glossy area, repeat w/ a heavy coat. This can be done 15min later

All my work was done, in the sun, sun warm part - or object, outside temp @ about 75F, I let it all dry in the sun. 2hrs later I had my wrinkle. Repeat until your wrinkle is achieved.

Yeah man I saw that, but after I began thinking, why pay 600 + who knows how much for panels & armrest for items that wont fit when I can take the same and have my interior custom wrapped and be truly unique.

EWW LOL! Thanks bra, more to come, nvr ending. Pray that my rear discs come through, So I'll be needing those ABS sensors shortly.

I think I will upgrade as follows:
GSR ABS F - I think my current (F) bearings are going bad
GSR R Discs - update coating and bushing on the arm ( hopefully w/ sensors from battle )
GSR ABS Booster
GSR ABS 1" MC - I'd like my brakes to stop when cued
and I have new pads and rotors already

Looks good sonic, I'm still debating between the mugen and SI lip... I don't want my plastic cheep *** rep ctr one... speaking of rock chips Ash, I pulled to close to the curb yesterday at school and scuffed mine up lol. Oh well, not too worried about it at this point.

Well I broke down just now and ordered the banner lol, and i'll pickup something from spoon at the end of the month when I get my other check. Something small for now, but when I start working I found the part I'm gonna save up for

Sonic
Looks good man, clean. What size are those speedy wheels? 17?

lol
Sweet, but you'll be twisting a line and changing some fitings using abs on a non abs car! Either way I think we will enjoy the update, or I will.

ASHY LARRY!

moose, either way both lips will last a long time. my mugen one lasted 3 years before it cracked, my stupid fault tho. i daily my car and leave it in the school parking lot to so don't worry it holds up. less there are thieves afoot.

good find on the seats Ash

Upol Raptor Liner is the best I've come across so far for the DIY. It can be rolled or sprayed on.

Here's a really good one of the textured finish on the Upol Raptor liner.
