Hey guys, I hate to jump in and criticize. I am biased about the issue, no sides will be taken. It's great you bought the wheels b/c you like the style and currently can't afford the real one. Real or fake it's your choice, but why try to pass it off as real? Get a custom rota sports decal in yellow or something!! If anything your depreciating the respect of your car by doing so. ex. I'd rather see a car on rotas, and say ooo nice, than say WTF did he put spoon sports decals on rotas, retarded.

I myself have rota C10's it would make no sense for me to put mugen mf10l decals on them, they look cleaner as they are, and if I did put a decal on them it would be custom. I am just insinuating be true in all that you do, this way no one can make fun of what you have because it was your honest all, and it was you. When I say "true "I say it loosely meaning real or fake it was your vision, put into action that cannot be questioned or judged for authenticity.

I hope that wasn't negative just my insight.

JDMANT

Looks good!

Soooo, winter has hit here in Calgary. Cars been parked for almost a week without being driven now. There's a supermeet coming up on Sunday so that might be the last I see/drive of the car before it's parked. If I take it out will be sure to get pics.

also on a side note (camera related) i will be picking up a d90 soon and just wanted to kno anyones opinion on what lens to get. eithera 18-105mm or 55-200mm. im leaning towards the 18-105mm. im want to use it for portraits, auto, and landscape/street shooting. im thinking the 18-105mm will be best for that all around. lmk thanks guys

I vote 55-200mm you get a decent far away range then you can get right up close. Nice camera choice too

Here's a pic of what im up too tomorrow morning, some may like it, some wont, it's my car in the end

Panel taped up and marked ready to be holesawed out tomorrow morning. Got a hellava deal on my wiring, it's normally 3.50$ per foot, I got 6ft and 4 eyelets for 13$ lol.. total should of been about 28$. I think the dude was really tired when he rung me up, but oh well works for me

I just installed the mud flaps and they are about an inch off the ground.....lol "love it"!
I would like to do a "B" swap hopefully by this spring.
Im picking up my window visors tomorrow from Weksos.
I just ordered some Koni yellows to compliment the Ground Controls.
Also just got a Nardi Wood Classico steering wheel, and ordered up the goodies to install it. Going with detachable hub by NRG as well as the short hub by NRG too.
I also picked up everything to polish the headlights and do the DIY painting of them.
I would like to swap out the interior to at least grey, but want either the newer Si seats or DC8 seats if I can ever find any.
Im also looking to get the SiR cluster, but I want the Canada spec one, that has the regular KPH and the MPH is small numbers with the SiR logo on it. So if anyone has one or knows where to get one, please point me in the right direction. I would appreciate it.
So I think thats it for now. Of course gearheads like us are never done with a build. Especially when you have two of them as well as the wifes Fit that needs some goodies too.

hey moosecakes. are you putting them in your mouldings or what is the panel your putting them in. i saw one guy route them to his interioir which seemed dumb but they were in his drivers side panel where the mirror panel is by those buttons one on each side which seemded smart than no one can jump start your car if their on the otuside

4dr, i'll definitely try to make it out! hopefully get a better reception this time lol.. car wasn't exactly the "cleanest" last time If things go right and I start working soon it'll be nice.

Webbs, that panel is the one under the passenger side tail light right above the bumper. The interior?? the weirdest place I've ever heard of putting terminals lol... defeats the entire purpose of having them easy to access. I considered under the rear bumper, but no.. harder to get too and I wanna see them as well. tomorrow I'll have pics of them installed.

Also I should be learning how to weld next week :D my dad has access to his work shop on weekends so he said we could run down there and he'll teach me heliarcing. And i'll get my trunk welded up finally lol and also my widow squirters holes filled in.

TwoToes how far down are your GC's threaded? It's pretty low right now. Your tires are?? xxx/45/15's im assuming? Either way, looks damn good Oh, and what spring rates are you running? When i get mine I wanna get a little stiffer than off the shelf rates since I wanna dump my car..

Next summer I'm repainting my car and pulling everything out of the bay, so I'm going to finish my wire tuck the right way, resleeve the engine harness and shave every hole not used.

Mine is also my DD, but luckily i'll be working with my dad so I can ride with him lol. I'm also contemplating a brake line tuck, but I'm keeping ABS so Idk if there would be much of a point to it lol.. Speaking of ABS I need to look into keeping that and and doing my rear disk conversion. It saved my car a couple days ago when some douche decided to slam on his brakes slowing down to a stop light...

And be glad you have a job bro, I applied to about 15 places and no so much as a phone call.. oh well, should be starting in about a month

4dr
Sweet purchase, mind pm'ng me the price and location to buy?

Moose
Loving the update, I hope if my batt. dies my car is parked next to yours, this way I can give my car a jump start w/out the owner present! Did you know batteries give off Hydrogen Sulfide gas and can explode when this gas is present and a spark hits it. With external mounts such has those any monkey can put a wrench in your work, causing major problems. Just a heads up, not a deterrence.

As for me I got some good news, I picked up my rear portion of the ABS discs tonight! Yippy! Getting the fronts another day. Pics soon! Gonna DIY those things

secondly here's another lip for my collection.

oh hell, thanks for the tip rare! I appreciate it, eventually I'm going to pickup an odyssey mini battery, kinda makes my box HUGE in comparison, but I'm not about to build a 3rd one just to make it smaller lol. I don't assume an average everyday joe will figure out what they are for. Idk though... Again, thank you for the info bro

ohh what lip is that? kinda looks like a CTR, but I'm not sure lol. Do tell :D

C1Sleeper - Great camera choice. Even a D70 would be a great camera too get into at a lot less money. To answer your question about the lens you will want to step up in focal length from your stock lens (18-55mm) and avoid overlap. Since your stock lens ends at 55mm in range, the next logical move would be a 55-200 Nikor lens. However, make sure you get the 55-200VR (Vibration reduction) lens. It's much better than the standard 55-200 Nikor.
