Your opinion please.
Hey, been lurking, mostly reading the FAQ's. After much looking around I have came up with a turbo choice and wanted to run it by you guys.
I have a Sand Car with a 2004 Honda 3.5l V6 (J35a4).
I want to go turbo and can only boost to about 7-9 psi. I need power as close to the bottom up to 7000 rpm's redline.
I am looking at a Gt30r or GT35r. I am sold on the ball bearing...
Which would be your choice? I am leaning to the 35, thinking it will give me cooler, denser air.
specs--56 trim 82 mm compressor--.70 A/R hsg-///84 trim 68mm wheel in T3 based .82 A/R hsg.
btw--Anybody know a good tuner in San Diego?
Take care all'

With the stock internals I want to stay on the small side. My trans is only good for 400hp/400tq as well.
I want to be at around 350-375 hp. Right now it's 250-260hp and about same with Tq.
Thanks for your reply

I would make a call to whitfield, whom is listed in the Tuner faq, I think he'll send you in the right direction for a turbo setup, and will also do your tuning.
cool sandrail!

Re: Your opinion please. (GraphiteAccord)
Well if your only looking at boosting such a small amount that turbo is worthless for you. Your goals are easily reached with a 30r with plenty of room to grow. I would say a gt30 which would give you some great spool characteristics. Hey I am in san diego as well. IF you want we can hook up and I can get you set up with a tune. Let me know. Nick
