Looks pretty trick, huh? do you guys think it would flow like a FMIC? It's a 1G DSM SMIC.

are you planning on ever getting an efficient intercooler? aka a nice front mount. or are you just gonna keep that. whenever you upgrade i guess it will be time for a new bumper. nice idea, but not really that worth it on a dsm side mount

DSM intercooler cores are great. Mounting them in the bumper with like a 5" hole ain't so great IMO. Of course, I noticed your sig sez you're from MN, so you guys probably have proportionally different issues with heat soak compared to down here in TX.

In contrast to what most the other guys said... the DSM IC is fine for lower HP situations. The application in which it is mounted right there, that car is making similiar HP to a stock DSM anyway. It is 150% better than nothing. As for the people that think that the hole cut in the bumper for it is not functional... well... they obviously have no idea how intercoolers and turbo systems work with the laws of physics. BTW that car also has the fender well cut out behind the IC. If intercoolers functioned just as well with no air inlet to them, then why do people always put them in front of the radiator? duh. Unless I am reading the posts wrong.
also, as for when you change to a front mount... there are no problems changing it to a front mount after that other than the fact that you cut a hole in the bumper that will not be functional after going FMIC.
As for comparison to a front mount... this sidemount definatly will not have as large as an effect as the front mount... but what that guy wanted was a 13 second car for under 2 grand in mods, which is what he got.
