Is it worth it? Modifying this intercooler
Its off Ford Probe GT and the size is 13W x 12H x 3D with 1.75 Outlets. I know this is a gay question, but I'm about to leave my father-in-laws place where he has all the tools to modify it and I still havnt made a descion. Its the smallest front mount I've seen. Here is my setup
5 psi from a td04 on a greddy manifold
450 dsm on a fields controller.
with a d16y8 motor and p28 ecu
About how much would this intercooler benift? Or is it to small to waste my time on?

Re: Is it worth it? Modifying this intercooler (Sinner)
I would try to use it without modifying it, just cut up some piping if that will work, since it will be alot easier. Almost any intercooler will be better than none, but at 5psi you may see an improvement of a FEW hp...like 5-10, max. If you were running 10+psi then the benefit could be in the 50+ range, compared to no intercooler.
I have been thinking about getting two of those same cores and welding them side-by-side for a large top to bottom FMIC, then you could see some real cooling gains at higher boost.
