well my downpipe is 2.5" and i am not running a cat, the rest of the piping will be 2.25" and back to a magnaflow and the magnaflow exhaust is 4". and im running on 14b turbo with hf manifold...do u guys know if it will b loud? noob to turbo

turbo doesnt make your car louder... its what muffler you run

the turbo will often quiet the car down. turbo cars are usually much quieter than NA

Just took my turbo off because of too many mods and have to go back to the dyno and DAMN! that beeotcch is 3 times louder at least. Turbo cuts out lots of noise. I think it will be pairly quiet unitl full spool, then it gets noisey. If you had a three inch or bigger that would be a different story though

I have a 3" downpipe, 3" mandrel all the way back, no cat/resonator to a 3" magnaflow and its not loud and has absolutely no rasp to it at all.

My experience was similar to a couple. The car was very loud and raspy with an exhaust and being na. Then once th turbo and a 3 inch exhaust went on it was much better sounding and actually quieter. Now if you have an open dp or waste gate that goes to atmosphere then that is a different story. I mean a turbo acts like a big exhaust restriction. So you'd think it would wine things down.

yea it will b alot less noisy with the turbo on then a built na or even a stock na. i have a built gsr turbo with straight 2 1/2 pipe and greddy sp making 498whp that make less nose then a stock gsr with same exhaust..

noise start to come in when on full boost

Well I was always afraid to upgrade to 3 inch because of noise, so I'll do it. Maybe four Inch

The turbo will always make your honda much quieter. and the best part about it is it gets rid of that high pitch noise that you get at higher rpms. I love the way my car sounds with my turbo.

3 inch kteller exhaust to magnaflow race series muffler and my car is still quieter than my stock gsr with hks hi power exhaust.
