bought zeitronix wideband o2. will i need the Exhaust Temperature sensor(EGT). tunning will only be done at the dyno with train tuner. i will not be doing any tunning.

you don't need one to tune and it really shouldn't be used "to" tune, but it's great to have as a backup safety device for detonation and when too much load is placed on the engine. but like I said, t tune with it's not really ideal. You can go without one and the widebadn since you are going to a dyno anyway.

will tuner's use the EGT for tunning at all?? is this device just for tunning or is it a good thing to have for safety issue like a oil pressure guage??? just dont' want to buy one is there is not used for me or tunning

They are quite a useful tunning tool, it can tell you when something has drastically changed in the engine suddenly (IE no fuel pressure) and helps dial in timming. Some people say its worth it to have it, I bought one at first just to say that I have one, now I actually use it in conjunction with my wideband when tunning timming.

tuners shouldn't use EGT gauge at all. Only at the end of the tune to make sure everything is in check. It's like you said an oil pressure gauge. With detonation the EGT will go WAY low and too much load it'll go way high. It's not good for tuning for 2 reasons:
1.) If you have to much timing and a lot of fuel EGTs will read normal. Same way in the reverse not enough fuel and not enough timing the EGTS could read normal
2.) temperatures vary where the probe is placed. Even if it's placed exactly where everyone does it (1" off the third runner) it could still be off from everyone else.
I use EGT only as a safety device and make sure everything is always in check. I;m not saying it's a bad thing to have, but it shouldn't be used as a tuning device.
