as to my knowledge the stock mani will restrict flow and just make it a little harder than normal to reach your hp goal, from the two i would go blox but if u wanted to gain quite a bit i would pay a little extra and just get the victor x or bbk ssi which is supposed to be slightly better than the victor x and with better flow you will reach your hp goal alot easier. i have a bbk ssi on my gsr setup and i love it

i wanted the stock look for gsr. that is why i was choosing between the blox manifold or just stick with the stock manifold. will the blox or skunk manifold help out better for 400+hp? anybody used the blox style manifold and gain more hp or lose hp than the stock gsr man. i know that the victor x will make better power for turbo but i just wanted the stock look. manifold(itr).

im not sure about which manifold you are talking about because you have said gsr mani on the title and itr mani on one of your posts......but yes if u are currently running a gsr manifold and switch to a blox and skunk 2 im sure you will make more hp because first of all you wont have the dual butterfly once you get rid of the gsr manifold and also i have seen people use the skunk2 and blox and i have seen their gains on the dyno charts. with the skunk2 and blox you are looking more at bottom or mid range gains and with intake manifolds like victor x and bbk ssi you are looking at top end gains.
there was a post about gsr manifolds and someone mentioned it was possible to do something to it which keeps the second butterfly open, if this is possible then i personally would keep the gsr manifold and just spend that money on something else which would be of use to your setup, i wouldnt consider it being very important to get a after market intake mani for a 400-450whp setup, its just what you prefer and also depends on the rest of your setup, you could also save that money and later if you are wanting to make alot more power then just go for a victor x or something which would give you alot bigger gains.

i was talking about the skunk2 and blox style verson of itr. my motor is being put together at this time. so i was wonder if its worth getting a blox intank manifold now while the motor is still out and if there would be any impovement gain for a 400-450hp. i have the stock gsr man. now with the dual butterfly taken out. if this setup is ok then i would just spend the money on something eles. i will also be running a 68mm tb with the stock mainfold and plan on portmatching the t/b.

i am having the same problem as you, i am tryin to deside though between victor x and stock gsr. and choosing between stock gsr TB bored to 64mm or getting a 65mm JG TB. my power goals are the same as yours, but my plans are to build for more in the future. right now i just wanna build a motor and put down good power and drive it for a while before i jump into a hopefully 500+hp civic.
