Why turbo?
because all motor is just slow. I spent all this money building a 200whp lsvtec and when it was all said and done the car was still slow as hell and I got beat by a stock single cam with some $1000 turbo kit. With turbo small 4 cylindar engines can be fast with out a lot of$$ and you don't need to worry about how light or heavy the car is.
For me you just can't go fast all motor.
Let say my integra is full weight and I want a nice sound system and I weigh 200 pounds. With a passenger the car is well over 3000++ pounds. Because I have to run 91 octane the most I can really hope for in a b seris build is 200-220 whp and let me tell you with that is will still be unbarably slow.
With turbo you can have up to 500whp on 91 octane and be faster than lambos or farries if you like

even tho i hate rippin tires off but when you that tach just bouncing off rev limiter ever gear it kinda a rush...N/A just cant do that what a turbo car can do...and mostly the sound of just driven a turbo car is just sex. the up spool and down spool. hearing the wastegate opening up. omg i better stop might just got drive my car now....
After 3 N/A Setups in my car i finally turboed it. That's definitely the way to go fast. I'll never go back. The only thing i can say when i remeber back the N/A time is, that it feels like accelerating in slow motion.
my buddy spent alot of money building a lsv because he wanted all motor, well after a few trips to the track I gave him my old zex dry kit (i wasnt using it anymore, because I had gone FI already)...long story short, it took nitrous to put him into the 12's...and he is in the process of building a boosted motor now.....to answer your question you cant make a 4cyl allmotor fast at an affordable price....it takes poweradders unless you have deep pockets, or your into autocrossing and like driving in circles in a parking lot under 40mph, lol
boost is better, because I can race a "wider" variety of cars besides other hondas. It's always nice to make a old man who just spent his whole 401K on a new vette, porsche or stang or even high end exotic feel bad, after he got beat by a 22 year old kid driving a honda making $8.50 an hour at food lion
I like the fact that hondas are not supposed to be turboed, so turboed hondas turn me on. I'd assume it's like making sexy time with a married woman.
Plus as already been mentioned the power gains are huge. I fell in love with my friends the first time I drove it, thousands of dollars later I now have my own. Nothing like seeing the look on the face of the guy driving the v8 you just slayed.

i've only seen about 3 4cyl na setups that looked like they would be fun to drive but 2 of the 3 had about 14:1 CR and could only be run on c16 the other one could be run on pump gas and it looked like it would be fun and all thre were k24/k20's check out the dynos on evans dyno archive the one that can run on pump gas made 260 whp the other 2 made 300whp or more.....oh and i forgot one other one inline pro's stroked to 2.5l s2000 making 300whp
boost is just so much easier to make power especially turbos....but i really like centrifugal superchargers as well just because they feel like the never want to quit revving.....i guess thats why i like boost creep as well haha
the only good i see for a na setup is in something like a really tight autocross course but even then a car with a roots style blown car would be faster if it had traction
can you guys think of when a na setup would be better than a FI setup? the only thing that comes to mind right off the bat is na cars are better to drive when there is a lot of snow on the ground and you don't have awd then na and an automatic tranny are better in my experiences
can you guys think of any other time a na setup would be better?
