Default Back from the dyno GAYNESS

So with the much larger turbo I managed to lose power.. The turbo was spiking upto say 12psi then it would drop boost as the RPM went up, on the 12 psi spike I got about 9.5psi through the rest of the rev range which produced about 135kws, last time(smaller turbo) at 10.5psi I made 146kws The A/F was about 12/1 early in the graph then gets as rich as 10/1 at redline I know theres power to be made by leaning that out, but that not the main problem... Could it be the rich topend causing the boost drop off? I'll try and get the graph up but its tiny.

I am told that the BB ihi vf22 does always spike straight up to 18psi on sti wrx's then drops down to around 16psi. I believe peak effiency for the turbo is around 15psi, I think what is happening is that once the wastegate opens after the boost spike I don't have enough power to keep the turbo spooling the turbo being below its peak effiency range wouldn't be helping I suppose. I was just using a manual bleed valve to control boost. The only other change I have made since last time is installing a another resonator 2.5in straight through but it was the baffled type like a miny muffler that is just after where that CAT would normally be.

So I am thinking about getting a 2nd hand Profec B would this help control the boost better??? ANy other things you guys can think of that would be helpful??

Ps this is on a JDM D16a6 or ZC sohc 2.5 in mandrel bent exhuast turbo back, 2in intercooler piping..

Using a turbo link extra injectors the device retards timing on on boost.

I will try the Profec B to see how that controlls the boost .
