super charger vs turbo
does anyone have dyno number on super charger vs turbo set ups on an itr or any b series motor?
what the max boost that a stock* itr can handle safely with turbo?

I just don't feel a supercharger is true boost. Go turbo, god how many times do we have to say this. 
turbos and superchargers do the same thing compress air into the engine they just do it different one works off of the exhaust (turbo) and the other one works off of the crank (supercharger) via a belt

yeah thats right superchargers, are wack,, they make about the same power as an intake........... so silly..
BTW, this is the wrong board to be asking about superchargers... everyone in here are turbo freaks...
Go to Forced induction integra board... more info.... they are down right now though........... GOod luck.

thats why top fuel race cars run superchargers than hmmm 4.6's at 300 in the quarter must be wack too

I have to agree with this guy. Superchargers are by no means a waste of money. True, turbo's are worth it over the Supercharger, EXCEPT, you have forgotten one thing. Have any of you done research on the new Vortech Supercharger???? That thing is supposed to be just as fast as a turbo, if not faster, depending on how much boost you're running at with the Turbo. Besides, all you have to do is upgrade your motor, just like what you have to do with a turbo, and Superchargers are badass! 6lb pulleys are nice, but, upgrade it to an 8 or higher, and watch out!

IMO:
You want to be faster than everybody else? Go turbo.
You aren't experienced with FI and/or want a safe, mistake forgiving setup? Go JRSC with stock boost.
You want to impress the masses with peak HP numbers and then lose races to JRSC and Turbo cars? Go Vortech SC.
You want to spend a lot of money and still get beat by turbos (the fast ones at least)? Go JRSC and mod the hell out of everything.
Personally, I'd go turbo if I were choosing today. But I've now had 18 months of experience working on and driving a JRSC GSR. I was not ready to maintain and tune a turbo 18 months ago and might have blown my engine.

I have a greedy kit with huge intercooler, bov, flange. Everything brand spakin new 4 sale.. If u interested let me know.. I ran 12.20 @13 psi. I have to run 10's soo have to get a custom kit for that. I am in Fl , so if u r intetrested, u r welcome to come check it out..

A friend in San Antonio just dynoed like two weeks ago. Basic DRAG3 kit at 14psi with 9.0:1. 345whp.
