why should i spend the extra money for a sc over a t3/t04e
just as the title explains, i am wanting something big but not too big for my d16

I think you should clarify whether sc stands for supercharger or the precision line of sport compact turbochargers.

sc50 is the comparable precision turbo....basically same thing, precision has a few more options and better customer service IMO

am i stupid for wanting such a turbo for my d, in the future i am wanting to push upper 200's
and the guy at cheapturbo said that 50 trim would be fun as hell to drive and make good power for what i am doing

they're basically the same thing. One of my garretts came with a bad compressor seal so i went with precision and no probs. Go with the garrett stated above or sc50.

There are all Garrett part numbers. Any number of turbo rebuild places can make them. Turbonetics, Cheapturbos.com, Majestic Turbo. They are all "T3/T04Es"
I don't think Precision makes a turbo with a .46 T04E wheel. But you can ask Art.

You do know precision turbo's uses garret parts... So basically, you are paying for an over price garret with a cooler name
