why do turbo diesels whistle so damn loud?

did anybody catch Sunday mornings "Two Guys Garage"? They had a new Dodge Cummins Turbo diesel on there. They put a new exhaust, went from 3.5" to a 5" exhaust 
They also put a methane injection system and some other stuff. Anywho, I didn't get a chance to finish watching it though. . .had to go to church

sorry couldnt ask him today, he was on vacation. i know he went to talladega so he prolly just took today off.
on a site note my hatch got rear-ended today by a really hot girl in a v6 mustang. luckily i think all it did was scratch the rear bumper cover up pretty bad

he said it is a bd kit not bully dog. i think we are going to become a bullydog dealer here at work.
