why am i stalling?
car is finally running and boosting. when i come to stop sign i slow down to coast to stop and when i step on clutch i stall. when coasting down a/f drops off the gauge way in lean like it's supposed to on hondas, but usually goes up once sitting idling. if before it stalls i stab the gas just a little it comes up and keeps idling. i'm running a breather filter instead of running it to the intake before turbo. could this be the reason? set up is as follows:
d16y7 obd2
td04L off '02 wrx
dsm 450cc with resistor box
msd btm
small 2 inch tall x 3.5 inch diameter air cleaner as my filter
safc settings as follows:
throttle % at 98lo 99hi
-38 from 1k-4k
-37 at 4.5k
-36 above
i would think i'm running rich as hell and want to change settings to -42 or -40...what do you folks think?

Re: why am i stalling? (scttydb411)
I had the same problem when I was running the hack like you. Except i was using RC 440s. I asked my local tuner, and he said it was because I was running so rich that the engine was basically flooding itself when the throttle plate closed. When you let off the gas and jab in the clutch, all the air is sucked out through vacuum, and that extra fuel (from running rich) is left inside the engine and doesn't really burn. Thus, the engine floods itself. My engine did it spontaneously, though. sometimes it'd run great, other times it'd stall out. didn't really bother me, though because it didn't stall out too often.

Mine does it too somtimes, I just keep it in second gear and let the clutch out to jump-start it back up without having to turn the key!
