classic dead battery. Also sounds like dude is running his car on a basemap. That is a safe way to roll on your way to get tuned correctly, but over time, running a basemap can cause damage to the engine and fuel system.

I was gonna post the same thing. Go to sears and get a get a volt meter (only 15 to 20 bucks for the simple digital ones) and check your voltage at idle and at revs. You should be 13.8 to 14.3. If you not, your alt is goin bad.

usually if you disconnect the battery and the car dies then your alternator is shot.. you can also place something metal up against the alternator while the car is running and it should be magnetic if its working right. you can also check the battery volate witht eh car running. should be high 13 to low 14 volts.

I realllly hate to say this, but why not take your car to an expert? T1 is in your neck of the woods, and Tony is a decent guy that'll likely help you out. Not for free mind you, but he'll get you on the road again

Dude, your alt is bad, Im telling you. Go buy an alt, get it running again and call Tony. He'll steer you in the right direction and get your ecu tune right for you.

2 years of daily driving w/o running dextron cleaner every couple tanks can allow your injectors to clog up a bit, as well as leave enough deposites on your valves to seriously pact AFR's. Chances are your engine is dirty, and isnt' getting enough air inside as it did when it was tuned.

The other thing, if your alt is dead, chances are you could be running lean on top. Your car pulls more energy near redline, meaning less voltage to the injectors. Its well known that if your tuner didn't set up the voltage tables for your injectors, it will run lean when the voltage drops too much. Lean = detonation = lost power. Also low battery = more likely to misfire = lots of lost power.

First change your alternator (after getting yours checked). hen change to NEW NGK copper plugs, heatrange 7, gapped to .028-.030" or so. THEN run a bottle of dextron fuel cleaner through your car, and see how it runs. You should also check the rotor/cap/plugs. They are supposed to be replaced once a year, and definately no longer than once every other year. FYI don't use cheap ****, it will be asking for more problems.
