pistons for sprayed lsvtec?
i have a ls block with a 2nd gen b16 head golden eagle lsvtec kit, arp rod and main bolts and arp head studs and im looking to direct port spray the motor w/o fully building it does anyone have any suggestions on safe shots to run (daily driven and occasionally track) and good pistons/compression ratios to run w. this setup
i would also probably do around 10.0:1. i dont know but if you can get a good enough N20 tune and keep the N20 consistent you could go higher but i would just spray more. if you go higher compression it would be a problem on pump gas for daily driving if you went much higher.
you could prob get away with around a 100 shot IF you really do it right.
are you just gonna put a shot on it or go all out and get a EMS and tune it for it etc...

its a direct port zex kit and i dunno if im going to go get EMS or anything that expensive but some sort of tune like chrom and and timing retardation would be used. who makes good nitrous piston?
A forged piston is a good N20 piston. I prefer Wiseco pistons myself. Crome is an EMS as far as what i meant, i didn't mean a stand alone or anything. If you have a N20 tune and a good setup you should be able to spray the chit out of it. Somewhere in the 150 range if you got the cohone's to do it. I think i would stop around the 100 or so area but thats just me i know there are people on HT goin harder than that. Uh look up stuff by i believe his screen name is 1700anddropping or somethin like that he writes alot on the N20 stuff.
