im pretty sure there are alot of people on this board who use their turbo car as a daily driver. As for theft issues? Just make sure you got your eye on it all the time =P If you are really that worried about it getting stolen, maybe invest some money into a nice alarm/security system while you are at it.
make sure you have a second car for down time
I started out with my turbo civic as my only car... I had to get another car after after borrowing someone elses beater for months while going threw my last two motors... and while building my 3rd motor.
of course I had to smash my second car also with no insurance because of my great car luck, so now I have to buy another one and still pay for the two that are not on the road

Mine's a daily driver. Although I've never worried about theft, the local police blotter said someone's mini van was stolen from the very short street I live on.
It makes sense, though. There are soccer moms in mini vans and suvs everywhere, but modified Hondas are few and far between. I guess the thieves know where to "shop." My car looks stock, it's parked underneath a street light near the end of a dead end road, I can see it from my apartment, and my neighbor's dog barks anytime someone walks by there.
The only time I worry about theft is when I go to the Virginia/DC area. If you live in a high theft rate area, don't modify it unless the insurance would cover you.

I drive my built motor/T67 sexiness every single day to work. Thank god theft isn't an issue here, and cops are nice to me. I have my nice big front mount, some gauges, grid's, an N1, and some stickers and I don't catch any ****.

I daily drove mine for a while... I have to drive 45 min to and from work every day so I stopped driving it to work and drive a stock VX hatch instead...
It's nice to have a stock beater car to get me to and from work, plus, when I work on my car I can take my time because I have another car to drive while it's being worked on.
