New setup is complete!

Z6, T3, 450cc's, 3B and 15-18psi

I was going to tune last friday but I spent 900 on a mtb bike a few days before (damn impulse purchases) so tuning gets pushed another month.

quote from my girlfriend - "I dont get it! You are making alot of money so why are you always broke?!"

LOL, talk to VTC Civic, I think he has a great definition of good fuel management.

What I meant was, forget about what the Greddy or Drag kit provides you with. Whether a 12:1 FMU(Drag) or the Blue Box(Greddy). Get Hondata( or the like) with larger injectors to go alnog with your turbo. I run a 12:1 FMU which makes me run really rich(better safe than sorry) and makes me bog off of almost every launch unless I feather the clutch.

ya i was there 2 weeks ago also. I was in a FBP ex coupe as well. lowered on hubs. I was there with this chick, chilling with the guy with the yellow accord wagon and waiting on a couple friends. Ya I'm definitely boosting the sohc but i swear i can't begin to star getting money together... every week it's something new. So far all I have is a turbo timer from the first turbo setup I was planning. I was planning to have the car boosted by the middle of June but it seems more like it's gonna be pushed back to end of July/early August. Oh well. Whenever you get the parts together lemme know I wanna see what my car would look/feel like boosted since u do have the same car as me.

WOW! I just had the biggest brain storm here at work. I'm realizing how hard it is for me to muster up $1k+ at one time and blow it on a greddy kit. So... I think I'm gonna probably put together a custom setup, most likely based off a 16G or a T3 (what's a good trim & a/r for a d16 civic?). I was doing that earlier this year but I needed some quick cash so I sold the parts I had. If I had kept them I would have been boosting a long time ago. This way I can also skip the basic stuff like the greddy fmu and get all the parts I WANT. Time to go bug Pritos about his setup.

Yo, I think you PM'd me on this, but just to reiterate, the T3 turbo with a .48 a/r stage 3 turbine and 60 trim .60 a/r is what I use and it works great. It pulls full boost all the way to redline and spools faster than a T4 compressor would allow.

leadtrum: how do you like the apexi kit? with the intercooler are you running at 5psi or 6psi?

i am looking at both the greddy and apexi kits w/ intercooler and also looking at a possible custom turbo setup.

do you have any other pics of your car besides the ones in your sig?

love the apexi kit...honestly its been a great experience with this thing. its only at like 5lbs right now and it never spikes or anything like that so far so its great for only 5. i can't wait to boost it up to 7-8 in a little.

nah i don't have any other cars i drive...i wish i had some beater to play around with but mine is a total daily driver.

it's all in my sig. 00 ex with the greddy kit. I have 54000 miles on it and she has given my no trouble pushing 5psi. She's an automatic but will pull hard on modded b series and have no probs with the h22's. The best she's pulled was a 14.93 @91 on stock tires. The greddy kit is honestly alot more than i expected it to be and now the DOHCKLR is out to play.
