who makes speed/gear based boost controllers

that makes sence and it should work.. unless its possible to tap into how ecu reads what gear it is in.</TD></TR></TABLE>
The innovative simply counts clutch presses.... It has no idea what gear you are in otherwise...
So for a street car, it would be kinda complicated... you would have to reset it to first stage every time you stopped... or downshifted then upshifted...

Thats what i was thinking... Or like Kataku said just leave it on high boost
A guy i know is running the Blitz controller and after riding in the car i would have to say that it works very well. He had the controller set for 19 psi in 3rd gear and 4th gear was a full 30psi. It worked very well and this was on a street tire. I couldnt beleive how unbeleivably hard the car was pulling in 4th at 30lbs without hazing the tires. very scary

I think I might try out the Hondata controlled 2 stage.
I can get a 3 stage boost solenoid for about 30 bucks! Hook one line straight to the WG, and another with a MBC hooked up to the other.

maybe u could use one of those nitrous shift ***** with the button on top and u can manually select your boost levels per shift or on the street u can just press the button how ever many times to put it to the boost level u wanna run at..and once your there just dont hit the button.........maybe if your racing and the other car starts pulling u..u can just press the button however many times to raise boost if needed without shifting... for example say your in 4th or 5th on the highway @15lbs (2nd or 3rd boost setting)..getting pulled u can tap the button to 20lbs or whatever your setting is...

Thats a great idea. Im not concerned about street racing however but a great idea nonetheless.

The car wouldnt build boost during the shift...
The car wouldnt build boost during the shift...
But if you hit the button during a shift wouldnt it still change to the high boost and then keep at the high boost as a there became a load on the engine. Or do I not know what the hell im talking about.
If you hit the "button" during a shift it would bring you up to your next boost level but if you're off the gas your BOV will be open (unless you've jammed it, etc.) dumping your intake charge. It would only be when you got back on it that anything could happen from excessive boost levels. So long as you're not being stupid (i.e. running more boost than you should be) there's no reason why you should blow your motor. It's not that difficult, if your limit is 20lbs. don't set any of the targets for each gear above this.
My friend is running a AVC-R on his 350hp SR20DET 240sx. We set it up so first gear runs low boost and second on run high (low= 11psi, high=18psi) this was running fine untill his manifold cracked
Hotshot is fix it for free tho
(BTW Hotshot manifolds are pimp ****!)

SM2 only.
SM2 only.
Id say just go with a boost controler that uses scramble boost. The AVC-D has it, the Profec B. That will give you a low/high boost setting jump at the touch of a button. Greddy even makes the steering wheel mounted button/switch for it, Ive seen that quite a bit and has seemed to work well.
