white smoke while boosting????
i had a hwy run this past weekend and when i got on it at full boost, there was white smoke coming out the muffler. when i drive normal, there was no white smoke, but when i boost, i would see white smoke in my rear view mirror.
recently...my gaskets under the valve cover were bad and a lot of oil got into the spark plugs. i changed the gaskets and the plugs and i was just wondering if it could be all the oil that got into the block burning up when i got on it?
i'm going to take the exhaust piping off the turbo sometime this week to see if there's oil in there. i hope there not though.
this guy told me he thinks i'm running too much fuel. at idle...my fuel pressure guage reads 58-59psi. i'm running 8psi on a b18b1 right now.
let me know what you guys think.

white smoke is water going through combustion. Check for a blown head gasket. It could be blown such that it only presents itself when under boost. Do water temperatures go up when under boost, or is the radiator overflow reservoir full/over full?

temps are below normal.
no over flow or anything like that from the resevoir tank. its full, not over full.
could it have anything to do with my return line if its clogged or if something may be wrong with it?

yeah...its kinda a lot of smoke. it doesn't happen right when i boost. when the boost hits 8psi, then smoke will come out.
i just talked to my friend, who was behind me
, he said it was black smoke. to me it looked like white smoke in my rear view mirror though.
my fuel pressure guage is reading almost 60psi at idle. isn't that high? i thought it should be like 39-43psi at idle. i have a walbro intank fuel pump and a vortec fmu with the stock fpr. i think i need to get an adj fpr to turn the fuel pressure down.
