they are sayign to run it from the throttle body. i got a gsr and my coolant line comes from the water inlet port from the rad then to the FICV then a line to the IAC can u bypass that? arent u suppose to run coolant through those?. i also have on my thermo houseing a block off cooling port

You can just run it inline with the line going to the TB/fast idle valve. My TB doesn't have a fast idle valve on it, so I just bypassed the TB and ran it inline with the IACV.

You don't have to bypass anything if you don't want to, just run it inline. Take the line from the water neck in this pic:

and run it to a water port on one side of your turbo. Then run a line from the opposite side of the turbo back up to the fast idle valve. Voila, now your turbo is inline with your fast idle valve.

if you dont want to bypass it then dont
just run it in line like me
stock it runs from the throttle body to the im. just run it from the tb to the turbo then from the turbo to the im

Fast idle valve controls your cold idle speed. I would just leave it connected, unless you eliminate it all together with a blockoff plate or something. Otherwise your idle will be high all the time without coolant running to the valve.

who said it was a year? the turbo has only been used for about 5 months and i just never got around to hooking them up. can i ask why it would matter if it was the first day or 5 years down the road?
