Where to get a good mesh wrap for turbo??
I've been looking online for a precharger wrap for my turbo because there isn't really a lot of room for a conventional filter. I was wondering if someone knows how i can get ahold of a mesh wrap that's going to work for me. I know i can use chicken wire of whatever to keep big stuff out of the compressor, but i want something that's going to prevent a lot of dust as well. Thanks for the help!!

Mcmaster.com has anything you could need for this. I'd suggest some stainless welded mesh for support (will *not* be sucked in, even by a gt42), then put a fine mesh over that for filtration.

i think you gotta have a good filter to make HP out of it. if you run a cheap one, you get nothing. my filter actually fell off during my dyno tune, when we put it back on, i made less hp

you can also get something like one of these to put your intake on. I just bought one and they are on clearance right now.

I used the the house window screen on 3 diffrent cars acura ran 11.3 and a corolla ran 9.4 so window screen works pretty good will not be sucked in.

Re: (2point2)
Just my few cents here, but I sucked in screen mesh (like the stuff on screen doors) twice on 7psi with a T3/T4. The second time I made sure that the clamp was REALLY tight. My car ran REALLY weird untill I got it all cleaned out. (getting it out of the IC was a pain btw) If at all possible, run a filter. But Im not one to talk, I havent ran a filter on my boosted setup and its been over a year....

Re: (Schister66)
just get you some mesh from lowe's or home depot and cut it to the size you need. wrap it around the turbo and clamp it down, you should be good.
thats what i have done in the past and i never had any problems. i also put a piece of one of those things that the black people wear on their head over the mesh, no problems.
