Default Where Do I Go From Here?

well for those of you who saw my thread about my motor spinning a bearing...
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=978107

i need to make a decision on what to do to get a running car. these are the most feasible options. I'm posting this to get recommendations/advice on what to do:

Option 1 - Build another shortblock (unsleeved)
As it looks right now, I could work out a deal with some friends of mine on the shortblock and the SC61. the deal would leave me with like $1100 or so and a set of 75.5 Wiseco pistons, I could use the rest of $$$ to buy rods and assemble a new shortblock. i could slap my built head on there, buy another turbo and go for some decent power.

Option 2 - LS Turbo
I could do the same deal as above minus the pistons, and sell my built head from the sohc, sell the turbo mani and downpipe and end up with like $2500-2800 total. I could then buy an LS motor, buy a manifold, downpipe and another turbo. this motor would stay stock internals though because like i said... i'm not really trying to spend much more money on the car... kinda tired of it.

Option 3 - Fix what I have
I'd need a new crank and at least one new rod most likely. And $$$ to reassemble it all. I'd also need a new headgasket which has been a big issue for me since the motor is 77mm (2mm overstock). I just got an OEM overbored one from RS Machine but that took forever and since they've just been bougth out, who knows how long that will take. I ordered a Cometic one a while ago... still haven't gotten it.

Option 4 - Put car back to stock, sell it
I could put the car back to stock and part out all the stuff I have one it. Buy a diff car. I'm thinking used S2K, SRT-4, WRX, something within the 18-20k range

what do you guys think?

I would simply stay away from options 3 and 4 simply because if you blow another headgasket, you'll be waiting forever for another one and as you mentioned before, you want a car to take you to places and not be down from it. As for option 4, I just simply can't see making more payments towards a used car in this time of your life especially since your car is already paid off. I say stick with your civic and try to choose between options 1 and 2.

Agreed. D series cranks/engines are seemingly a dime a dozen.

on second thought,if you want to keep downtime to a minimum why don't you pick up a stock D16Y long block and boost that, they don't cost much. Then you can repair your built motor while taking your time and saving your money.

Marc, u crazy man, don't do option 3, you'll be f#$ing yourself over again, and won't be done by Christmas time . Do option 1, I mean how bad could 350whp be on the streets ? or if u really tired of honda's, go get the Srt-4, not a bad dodge for what it is.

scat rods 280 shipped on ebay(almost identical to eagles)
piston rings, arp headstuds, gaskets, rod bearings, etc. 400-500
then go and get a nice sized turbo for 400-500. thats around 1100?
