Re: where to buy a flex pipe (morepoop4u)
U might wanna try a 18 wheeler repair shop. They usually have those for repairing the downpipes on the big rigs and they're really cheap too!! They are like $2-3/ ft. look around locally and see if you can find one, you will save alot of $$$. Road Race Eng. has very bad customer service in my opinion, I personally had a simple issue to be resolved (Tial WG was sent with the wrong psi spring and when I call to ask what they can do, they were straight up jerks Thats my.02 on them...

i would look around any major truck stop along a freeway. Flying J truck stops usually have repair shops also.
These are braided flex pipes:

Re: where to buy a flex pipe (integra-modder)
Damn, u brought this back from the dead...I guess no one can tell u to do a search.. ...They are both prone to leaking but if u get the truck style piping that is around $2-3/ ft. no joke....Im sure that braided flex pipe runs much more than that....If u dont wanna skimp then get the braided...They both do the job..If u have solid mounts then u might be able to get around runnin one all together..

are made by these guys:
http://www.epiflex.com/newflex.htm
Look at the cutaway picture from EPI that integra-modder posted above and notice the inner braid. The EPI models that JCWhitney sells do not have this. For the 2.5" model from JCWhitney it's $52.95+$14.95 for shipping, which I think is expensive. I called EPI and for a 2.5" inner braid model it's about $70.
The flex pipes from roadraceengineering are made by these guys:
http://www.jagco.com/uniflex.asp
For 2.5" they are $50 and do not include an inner braid. I found this out after I received mine, but the quality seems fine. Shipping to the East coast was about $8.
I checked the link to turbo-performance.com, and the ones they sell look identical, and may even be the same that roadraceengineering sells for quite a bit less, but they don't list sizes.
Summitracing, as far as I know, only sells Pace Setter flex sections:
http://www.pacesetterexhaust.com/perf_exhaust.htm
When I spoke with a representative at EPI, he recommended the inner braid to prevent whistling. Jagco mentions on their website that the inside diameter of the flex pipe should be the same or larger than your exhaust, otherwise you will get whistling and it will void the warranty for some reason. The roadrace/Jagco flex pipe on my car so far has been fine and doesn't make any strange noises.

Re: where to buy a flex pipe (Evil Beaver)
When I called them, they said they only carried 2.5" and the 3" is the same piece with the ends expanded. Any muffler shop could do it, so they just carry the 2.5 now and tell people to have the muffler shop expand it.
I'm waiting for my rev hard down pipe to come in. I plan to get the 2.5 flex pipe from turbo-performance. I can take pics and give you all my opinion once I get it. I'll be traveling next week, so this won't happen for about 2 weeks.

Re: where to buy a flex pipe (gtcali)
Turbo-Performance is BS
I started to order it, and it was like a shipping charnge and a $26 handling fee. The total was $57.xx. for a 2lbs $29.00 piece.
What a rip. Sorry for posting in the first place.
