Default What's wrong with this picture?

Any educated suggestions?

Does Wilwood, etc. make a master cylinder with a slimmer reservoir that would bolt right on to a G2 Geezer?

can you use something like radiator hose to move the reservoir to where it will fit?

I was thinking of some sort of sleeve that would raise the reservoir a couple of inches since there is clearance below the hood.

Yes, you would think that I could have lined it up on our other GSR and foreseen the clearance issue

i dont think you should be blaming yourself unless you work for JGedlebrock,

they should have checked that one, but like i said sometimes these things happen...

i have seen relocated resovours(dont know how its spelled)...I.E. in the dash (touring cars)

but personally if you can avoid modifying the brake master cylinder i would defintaly avoid it, because what happens when you loose fluid or something,

WAIT WAIT WAIT, GET OUT OF THE WAY, NO BRAKES

Maybe this one from Wilwood would work (say that 3 times fast).

this would be going backwords but WOULD work, switch to a civic brake booster, should give you more clearance cause its smaller.

does the reservior fit w/o that plug in the way? if so either screw it in farther or have a plate welded over the end of the manifold opening

Simple solution: Move it up. I used a 3" long piece of radiator hose, I believe it was a 1.5" opening. Clamp both sides and you should be ok.

Oh yeah, that's good.

Try a 90-91 CRX Si reseviour. They are much smaller in diameter but have the level switch built in.

take a look at it, not sure the diamter is the same though.

I don't know if the Wilwood would work- it looks like it is built for a horizontal (flat) mount where as the Honda MC attatchment flange is at an angle.

I have already emailed them. They didn't have problems fitting this to a G2 GSR but it must have had the B17 in it. I have a B18C and the extra deck height is probably creating the problem.

I think RGAZ has the best solution and I have one on order. I would not attempt a ghetto fix like radiator hose on a brake system.
