You can use a 5W-30 but i know it changes the tq specs. ARP includes a page with the specs for their moly lube and them also for when people use oil instead, it should be included in the box they came in. I think its pink or yellow.

thanks for the reply guys. I found the ARP moly lube for rods, I thought I lost it.
I'm also using ARP main studs. While putting everything back together, it doesn't look like that baffle plate will not clear the #3 main studs. If I tq down the plate to fit, will it harm anything?
