Ok my boy just Turbo'd his 92 Civic Hatch. He has a custom turbo kit. Front mount, Ford Probe turbo, full piping and a blow off valve. His car idles fine and it runs great just daily driving but when he steps on it hard (like racing) the car bogs out (it runs hard then slow then hard then slow). He's only running 5 psi. So what's up? Is it lack of fuel, turbo lag, or something else? Thanks.

what turbo, fuel PSI, engine management.... ect?

 

just stock ecu, ford probe turbo (sorry don't know the specs), stock injectors.

 

stock ecus donnt like to see boost, combine that with boost on stock injectors with no compensation for the added increase in air volume. tell your buddy to park that **** and get some sort of engine management or have him carry around a video camera with him so he can be recording when it blows up

 

agree with above statement, get some fuel in there... or you will be putting another motor in it.
