10:0 is perfect on a gsr cause the stroke isnt the same as an ls so you wanna make a little more tourque, i think 9:0 is too low in my opinion, if you sleeve it you can still run 30+ psi in any compression.

Is this a daily driver on pump gas? If it is then 9:1 is the norm...

i would keep it under 10:1........but above 9:1......CP sells nice 9.7:1 pistons which would be perfect!

yup, thats what i have 9:7, the only reason everybody used to run 9:0 back in the day is because they were using fmu's and afc's thats why, now we got better ems's

WHY do you think 9:1 is too low? Is it because you have real data and knowledge, or is it just going by some stuff you heard on Honda-Tech? I just went from 10.5:1 compression to 8.5:1 compression, and my car still drives perfectly fine even without a turbo on it, thank you kindly. Jeff proved that 10:1 to 9:1 was worth barely any power off boost, and even not a very substantial difference on boost.

Here's a nice dyno overlay. One motor is 10.4:1 compression, one motor is 9.0:1 compression. Turbo sizes are fairly similar. You tell me which one is which. I mean, if 9:1 compression is just too low, shouldn't you be able to see a huge difference off boost from the low compression?

You are absolutely right. Plus you can push out more power on pump gas!

the GSR makes it's power by revving a lot higher and the VTEC head, not the compression contrary to popular belief.

Hey dont feel bad. I used to be a firm believer in high compression and boost too. It can be done, like Tony the Tiger has shown us but low compression is so much easier and safer to make big power with.

Don't turbo your car with stock injectors. I would worry about fuel management before compression ratios anyways.

Last year I was on 10:1 and this year I'm on 9:1
I want to make same #'s on pump that people make on race gas.
