What would you do?
Ok so my setup thus far consists of a:
B18C1
84mm CP 9:1 with Full Race rods GEM sleeve bore deck hone and o-ring
the head has titanium retainers, ferrera .5 over valves, and ITR springs, also may go with the Endyn AIR intake manifold!!!
Fuel setup is also completely upgraded with aeromotive pump, fuel rail, 1000cc inj and FPR, etc
I dont have the turbo components yet, but this is what i am getting:
Full Race manifold Tial BOV and 40mm wg, Precision 750hp IC, Hondata and necessarry fittings etc piping, 3inch dp, possibly into 3 icnh exhaust or just open dp, with Hondata s200b
The problem i am torn on is what turbo i should get???
My choices remain between the Precision SC61 or the SC63
Goal is 450whp on pump 93 octane weekend warrior/second daily driver
I want to make big power at the track though. The car will rev to 9k so i want the high end power, which turbo will produce the high end numbers? What amount of whp is the SC61 efficient up to? I need your suggestions and help please.
Thanks
Mick

I would go SC63. Reason is my SC61 already spools early at 4500 rpm and I have a B18C stock bore, stock head, stock IM and 2.5 exhaust. Quite less output than your setup so you should be able to push a larger turbo with that set up.
BTW your not going to get any traction until 4th with that power. I think 350-375hp should be fine for most anyone on the street and that is severely traction limited. The extra 100 hp you want will just roast any tires you put on there.
edit: rant lol

The set up looks really good. I would reccomend the Precision GT3561. I wrote up the specs for this turbo in a post a week ago here- https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=3
The SC63 really only makes about 25HP over the SC61(at maximum flow) and this comes w/ a good amount more lag. To get the 25 more HP u must use the T04 exhaust wheel. If you run a T350 turbine wheel, u will not get that much extra power out of it over the 61.
The advantage of the GT3561 is the new GT turbine wheel offered w/ it. It spools just as fast as the SC61 but makes 15-20 more HP. Right about the same as the SC63 but w/ a still cheaper price tag. Contact Arturbo for one of these turbos, he is the only w/ them and has them in stock!

man i have a similar setup to yours, and i had the same comptemplation as you do. i can understand that you want to make around 450 on pump gas, cause that's what i'm kinda shootin for too. i didn't want to have to burn to chips on my hondata, one for pumpgas and one for race gas. i thought that, that would suck. i wanted to be able to drive it from home to the race track and be ready to run without changing chips and putting in race gas. so anyways i got a 61, it was about 300 bux cheaper than the 63, i hope i reach my hp goal. being less expensive was one reason i got it, talking to people on h-t and if the 61 doesn't do it for me than i'll just sell it and get either a 63 or pt67.
