What to use for an intake coupling - SC61 and other turbos with 3.5" opening
What are you guys using? I've sourced some 3.5" piping, but what are you guys using for a coupling to the turbo and filter? What are you guys using for a filter?
Just curious, the biggest silicone couplers I can find are 3", and they're averaging $25/each which is outrageous. Anyone know if Napa has 3.5" radiator hose?
EDIT: Also, how much is it going to effect performance if I run a filter witha 3" opening?

hahaha, I'd love to see how I'm gonna make it too... just can't justify running mesh screen on an SC61.
I'll take pics once this thing takes shape... I don't even have the turbo yet.

Here's 4" inlet.
As far as what to use... this is a bad picture, but I recall Todd used part of a (domestic??) CAI to mount the filter off to the side a little. I think it was a piece off his old 5.0 before he turbo'd it. Here:

SC61 has a 3" inlet(E housing) unless you get a S housing then it will be 4".

You like some short women!
There is a K&N style for ford (I think its ford) that is 4 inch.. Im sure it would have enough surface area to supply air without a restriction.
