Default What type of turbo is this?

My boy is selling this turbo that he was going to put on his sr20de engine but he sold the car and bought a rsx type s

He said it was a rebuilt turbo from a 300zx tt but it was fitted with a ball bearing center section and a .63 t3 exhaust. I think it used to have a internal gate also.

Anyone ever seen this turbo or something like it. He is selling for a good deal and i may jump on it

heres the pics

have you tried taking it off? looks like a blockoff plate for an internal WG hole.

That plate just looks like a flange thats bolted onto it for someone to use to make a DP later.

Spin the center cartridge to try and check for BB... it'll spin like nobodies business. Beyond that.. i'm not much more help.

yeah i tried to spin it today and it didn't spin freely at all so i don't know about being it having a ball bearing section. But more importantly their is no shaft play

About how much horsepower is this turbo good for?

the housings are froma 60/63 but the compressor wheel is 8 bladed.... im holding a 60trim t3 wheel in my hand right now and it looks much different and is 6 bladed... they are good for about 300whp at very high boost levels. also if it doesnt spin freely something is wrong with it, my turbo spins like butter
