what turbo to use on b16
just wondering what turbo you guys are using on your b16. been reading alot of posts, it seems most people are running t3/t04e. just wonder is this the best choice for a street car, and if so what a/r and trim. did a search and came up with .63 a/r on turbine housing stage III and .50 a/r on compressor housing with 50 trim. just wanted some opinions please, this is the last thing left to buy for my kit and the most difficult part to pick. TIA

Re: what turbo to use on b16 (my91civic)
T3/T04E
.63 A/R Turbine Housing
Stage III Turbine
.60 A/R Compressor Housing
57 Trim Compressor
Garrett makes this exact turbo and they are pretty inexpensive.

Re: what turbo to use on b16 (Slow_ass_4dr)
this is the groupbuy I am setting up...all we need is 10 people..well 9..since I am gettign one myself....cut off will be 7/15/02
ok guys...I called again and they gave me the guy in charge since they understand that I am serious about the group buy and the guy was saying that they love selling bulk. I told him we were mainly honda guys with prepped engines and were lookign at a max of around 450HP. So he told me I should change the specs up a little to provide more performance.
We now have this turbo:
57 trim
.60 A/R compressor
.63 or .48 A/R on the turbine (depending if you have a 1.6L or 1.8L and above)
Compressor outlet diameter is 2 inches while while the turbine is a standard T3 2.75 inlet with a 4 bolt discharge. Flanges are available for an extra $15
Best of all PRICES HAVE REMAINED THE SAME $550 with shipping being around $20 per turbo...which will most likely be sent out straight from the distributor.
Hope this comes as good news to you all.
