Default is a t3 strong enough for a b16?

hello turbo people im an NA guy about to go FI. Im looking at buying a complete used kit from a local guy - its the Bseries garret t3/t4 kit and for $2k i would get EVERYTHING (even an i/c) I would need to get my car running. The only thing is that his t3/t4 blew seals so he replaced it with a t3. My friends are telling me it would be a great deal if it had the t3/t4 cuz they say the t3 wont do the job on a b16. come on turbo peeps help me out! thanks

The T3 comes in many different sizes. There are sizes that are much too small for a B16 and then there are sizes that would suit the B16 very well. You need to get specs on the turbo that you're looking to get.

Basically, you want a T3 with a 60 trim compressor and at least a stage 2 turbine.

I'm sure a nice 60-trim T3 would be more than enough for an average B16.

I have a T3 from a Nissan. Its fairly small. It has a .48 exhaust and a ????? on the compressor. 2.25" inlet, 2" outlet.

I ran a 14.1@94 MPH shutting down at the end.

Fastest trap was 103.76 MPH 9psi, stock b16a2 in 99 Si full interior.

Right now im actually replacing a piston ring because one injector i think leaned out.
