D16Z6. Motor found in the 92-95 Civic Si's and 92-95 Civic EX's.
Or are you referring to the oiling problems?
As far as the oiling problems I don't know much about them. Something about the oil journals being too small & the oil pump design being bad.

I have had alot of experience with these sohc's and the one that I have best results has been the z6. Just let me know exactly what you would like to know and I will help you out in whatever I can.

i just want to try the turbo world for now. im done with NA.
well i want to have a 400whp vitara piston sohc. if engine blows up, i don't care. i just want to try it.y
sorry but i dont know what the z6 engine is. what car does it come from? japan models please. coz i live in asia.
so far, eagle rods, arp, vitara pistons are all i have yet for internals... im planning 2bar c16 on the dyno.

i know. but there are a lot of sohc vtec.
what i have access to is d16zc d16b, japan models. im not familiar with the engine codes in the states.

you can run the y8 just run a z6 crank the oil holes on the y8 crank arent chamfered like the z6 and be aware of the timing differences of the y8 and z6 base timing on the y8 is 12 degress where as its 16 on the z6
