Default What size?

Im trying to figure out the correct size turbo for my setup.
B16 stock block bored 20 over
wiesco pistons(9 to 1)
eagle rods
stock head
I dont want a dyno queen, it is my daily driver. Im thinking about a t3/60-1 w/.63 a/r. would this have decent throttle response? would it be possible to hit 300 hp on 16 psi?

I have tried to read alote of info on turbo sizing but cant quite figure it out. Would just like a second opinion from some one with more knowledge on the subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You will have to decide how you want your car setup.
Are you after a fast spool and a street toy or slower spool and bigger power
on the top end.
I wanted something that would kick in real quick and be fun to play with.
I also have Wiseco pistons (8.5cr) and eagle rods, LS bottom Bored .020 over.
Light port on the head, posted block w/ block guard.
Static CR=8.68-1 Dynamic CR= 14.6-1
I went with the Turbonetics T3-04E 50 trim with a .48 turbine trim
47lbs/hr or up to 450 Hp

This is a good site for compressormaps.

This is a good site for calculations

I did all of the figuring I could stand, and I came up with the 50 trim compressor as a match to my motor. The compressor isn't that hard to figure, it's the exhaust turbine that left me blank. There isn't alot of info out there so I went to Turbonetics for help and told them what I was after. A fast spool and a fun to drive car and I wanted to see boost by 3800.
You can get yourself in the ballpark with the math but in the end you will want to talk to one of the manufacturers. There are so many variables that only someone with lots of turbo experience on various configurations will really be able to help you, but you have to know what you want first. You will need to answer alot of questions as well. How will you feed this turbo motor gas? (fuel pump, injectors), piping sizes (intercooler and exhaust) What management will you use to control your air/fuel map?
Anecdotal evidence is a good read, but hard numbers and and expert looking at you specific wants is the way to go.
There are some turbo gurus on HT but they can't help you til you know exactly
what you are after. Set some goals beyond " I want a turbo for my motor.
Your question about 300 HP at 16 psi is best answered with,
Air flow not air pressure makes HP
Good luck
