what should my........

i have a 99 si and was wondering what the rpm's should be when i am going 40mph in 3rd gear? i think my clutch is slipping

What throttle position?

just floor it in second and if the rev's go up and you aren't going faster, it's slipping...also, your car should pretty much top out at 60 in second, maybe 65.
