At What Point is it Too Late to Turbo an Engine?
I'm currently at 14K and I probably won't be able to purchase a turbo until a year from now. So around that time, I'll have around 25K to 30K on the clock? Will it be too late for me?
i had 80k on mine when it went turbo. i have 104k now
I turbo'd mine at about 85k miles, approaching 90k now, still runs as hard as day 1 (well harder now with the hairdryer in place).
So basically, the general consensus is I have nothing to worry about. Thanks for everybody's input. The turbo bug has bitten me recently so I have many questions to come

I am going for the record.
I turboed my D16 at 218,000 miles.
I now have 232,000 miles on the clock.
Original engine, original headgasket. Third tranny.

It all depends on the condition of an engine. I know someone who has 130k on the motor, running 11.3's, daily driven. Just change the oil frequently.
It's never to late as long as you have the finacial backing to fix it if something goes wrong. 30k is just getting broken in. I turboed mine at like 60k
just make sure yuor compression checks out okay and the motor is fine. if that is okay your slap on whatever you like.
I've got 68K and compression checks like new. I'm goin turbo this month..YEEHEE!
My FMax should be here next week and the hondata is going in tomorrow.

How about this is it too early to turbo an engine??? I only got 3800 miles on my 01 GSR now. Would I be fine goin with Drag 3?? Or its way too early??? Thanks for any help.
I have 101,500 miles on my D16 and my compression came out 175-175-170-180. New from the factory it was 184 across the board. I'd say it is in great shape to turbo.
