Question about rebuild & turbo
Im getting my engine rebuilt next week and have a greddy turbo that will go on after the engine is broken in, the machine shop says the engine will be broken in after 1000 miles but says i cant use synthetic oil for about 7000 miles, is that right?, i know i need snythetic oil for the turbo, so now i have to wait till 7000 miles before i install my turbo someone tell me he,s wrong.

Re: Question about rebuild & turbo (crxnug)
you do not NEED synthetic for a turbo. He is wrong. I am a testament to that. Turbo since 97 on good old dino oil and still have the same turbo!
Now if its better for the engine breakin?......well Im gonna do a low compression build up in a month and I havent gotten that far yet.
