Default what new turbo for my set up. gt35r?? (fully built motor)

I have a fully built motor, Dart race block, fully balanced and blue printed, fully done head. I dont knwo what else to say. I am currently running a garrette 60-1 with a .82 a/r and I really like it but a good buddy wants to buy it and I figure why not get a gt35r.

my question is. What gt35r should I get

GT35R BB Turbo, 82mm Wh, 56 Trim 1.06 AR GT35R-106-82 $2202.22
GT35R BB Turbo, 82mm Whl, 56 Trim .68 AR GT35R-82-82 $2202.22
GT35R BB Turbo, 82mm Whl, 56 Trim .70 AR GT35R-70-82 $2202.22

Dont worrie about price, they are retail cdn on it and I will get it at cost.

thanks guys.

right now i make a little over 400whp daily at 17 so im not really looking for alot more power but more so a MUCH better turbo.

Sorry I am looking for a t3/t4 set up. This makes me sound stupid but I dont even know if the gt35r is a t3/t4 housing or just straight t4. My turbo mani will work with any t3/t4. I run a full 3" set up already and I know I may (probably) have to change the flange thath connects to the turbo, no biggie!

Or maybe the best question is to ask, what is the best t3/t4 ball bearing turbo out there now that will make GOOD power up top and still spool quick. THANKS!

???

are you buying a T4 version of the 35R? (i think one company makes it)

I would get the T3 version which is much cheaper and will have better response.
in a .63 a/r

If you're still only looking to make 400whp, GT35R might be a bit overkill because if you're not running a whole lot of boost, you might not even get it into it's maximum efficiency range.

Based on the numbers you listed, those are T4 turbines, You'll want a T3 housing with a .63 A/R.

.82ar 35r will do well. but youre going to have to cut your flange off and get a gt series flange(full 3") for the gt35r

I run a full 3" already and I know Id have to go to a 5 bolt (on the dp), that is no problem.

My mani will accept any t3/t4

I think you need to do a little more research on your setup and what kind of power you want to make.

ask yourself these questions
how much power do i want..now and in the future
do i want responsive or a laggy boost response
street car or drag car
budget

Imo you could just go with a gt30R make 400whp all day have a responsive turbo and save money

daily 400+ whp.
race 500+ whp

Im used to lag so that doesnt matter. I street the car and drag it. I just want a good turbo and money really isnt a issue as if im ready to buy a gt35r then nothing really will be that much either way.

thanks guys!

If you wanted to stay at 400whp - 500whp I would recommend the GT3076RLS. If you want more than 500whp I would recommend GT35RLS with a .82 A/R.

The .63 A/R has made 600 WHP, so why punish yourself if you don't have to?

Not everyone is going to make 600whp with a T3 GT35R .63 A/R. Judging from him having a DART block he probably has a complete setup that will allow him make a good amount of power with the .63 A/R. We were only able to get 540whp from the T3 GT35R .63 A/R with an M3 recently. I suggest the .82 A/R because A) like I said not everyone is going to be able to see 600whp B) he said 500+whp so I have no idea how much over 500whp he is looking to make.

thank you guys. Although again, I dont know this answer. Does the gt35r come only in a t4 or is it a t3/t4 hybrid.. Well Right now I have .82 so the .63 would be nicer but i want to make damn good daily power as I do now. Im not as concerned with a HUGE number cause anything over the 500whp is enough imo. I have trouble to lay down 400+ so.

thanks guys.
