What is needed to put in aftermarket rods and pistons?
Engine(d16z6) is getting low on compression, and ive been contemplating a turbo setup. So I was planning on installing eagle rods and some aftermarket pistons. I know that to install the pistons I need to hone the block and use new piston rings. But for the eagle rods I read somewhere that the main bearings are different from hondas factory ones. Could someone please tell me what is needed to connect eagle rods to a d16z6 crank? Also, do you need to notch the block to make room for the rods? Thanks.

Re: (PUSHER)
Call eagle and ask them what bearings you should use. You'll also need a piston ring compressor to put the pistons in, some plastigauge to measure the oil clearance. Torque wrench is also a must for the rod caps. If you're not sure what you're doing you might want to take it to someone who does, you can mess some **** up if done incorrectly.

Youll also want to check the cylinder walls for any imperfections...and gap the rings correctly...it might be better like he said to bring it to a professional.
