Default What is Lambda?

Im thinking of buying a Zeitronix wide band O2. It says that it monitors Lambda. I want to know what that is. I did a search and found.

Lambda is the same thing as air fuel, it just uses a different table. I don't have the conversion handy but, it just needs a scale factor.

Lambda AFR
1.3 19.03
1.29 18.89
1.28 18.74
1.27 18.59
1.26 18.45
1.25 18.30
1.24 18.15
1.23 18.01
1.22 17.86
1.21 17.71
1.2 17.57
1.19 17.42
1.18 17.28
1.17 17.13
1.16 16.98
1.15 16.84
Lambda AFR
1.14 16.69
1.13 16.54
1.12 16.40
1.11 16.25
1.1 16.10
1.09 15.96
1.08 15.81
1.07 15.66
1.06 15.52
1.05 15.37
1.04 15.23
1.03 15.08
1.02 14.93
1.01 14.79
1 14.64
0.99 14.49

There is just a basic Idea, I am too lazy to upload the whole thing.

Lambda is a percentage of Stoich for any fuel. 1 lambda = 14.7 a/f ratio for gas.
ex. .80 lambda = 11.76 a/f ratio
.85 lambda = 12.49 a/f ratio

1 lambda = 6.7 (i think ) a/f ratio for methanol
.80 lambda = 5.36 a/f ratio for methanol.
