Re: (Schister66)
its hard to say, all these people putting crazy numbers down and having succes, but then others will crack a sleeve at low HP.
I know fow me, being on a budget, im going to keep it around 350 for DD.

Stock sleeves have held well over 500 whp on a car with conservative timing and the larger turbo doing all the work.
On the same token, greddy kits have puked sleeves out of B series motors at 250whp all over the dyno.
A good tuner who knows your goals and setup will have a better shot of telling you what he can make or has made in the past. I am shooting for 400whp on stock sleeves and pump gas next week with a healthy sized turbo and a hell of a tuner so I don't see too much of a problem with it. With a guy I didn't trust, I wouldn't even dream of it but as with anything high performance, you can always exect something to happen.

If this is your only car and your daily driver, sleeve it to prevent any potential problems in the long run.
If this is a weekend/fun car on a budget, it never hurts to take the stock sleeves to the limits

Very true, I didn't think about the DD portion.

My car is a daily driver/weekend racer, on pump gas on the street i run 380whp (over a year and a half now) and at the track 440whp on race gas. My motor still has perfect compression and leakdown and now has over 20,000 city miles on it.
