What happens when turbo "kicks in"?
I'm looking to get a drag III for my 01 GSR was wondering how the car will handle on back road twisties. What happens when you guys are cornering hard and the turbo kicks in, will the tires let loose, or isn't there really a problem loosing tracktion? I guess a a JRSC for back roads, but I want my car to run high 12, low 13's and I hear that's very difficult to do w/ one
?

Boost comes on as smooth as your foot is on the throttle. If you floor it coming out of a corner it might break loose but it's not like you're punching NOS on or anything... power builds smoothly and linearly.

i was very lucky and got the chance to ride in a 300+hp gsr this past weekend. mind you, this was the first turbo honda that i've ever been in, turbo anything for that matter. anyways, we went out onto the street, he floored it and bam, boost kicked in hard, the rpm's shot up like crazy. after he shifted to 2nd, traction was nowhere to be found. he spun the tires for a good 2-3 seconds before there was any hint of traction. as for the back curvy roads, i could only imagine...

Basically, when boost kicks in you become an addict. Seriously though, I find that the steering is harder to control during hard acceleration in first and second gear.
