Default IAT's and knocking????

tuning my car with the gsr head and having some knock issues.
poly intake gasket
chrome pro - p72 code
gsr mani
t3/t04b

its about 40 deg out and my iats only reach about 70 deg according to my temp sensor via crome pro. i thought it would be hihger. low boost is about 10psi - runs perfect no knock from 3000-8000 rpm
17psi it knocks like a bitch as soon as i get into boost till about 5500 rpm, then no know and away it goes. i have retarded timing down REAL low, like 5 degs and it still knocks, added a lot more timing and knock gets less but its still pulls about like 3-5deg, turn off knock sensor and it still hesitates around there, but then pulls like normal.
i am really confused and getting to my wits end. i check the pulgs all the time bkr7e's gapped to .025. but last night it looked like some small silverish speckling, which i assume to be knock. i think im gonna check out making a det can and see what i can hear

any suggestions or opinions

how much octane, what compression ratio do you run?

t3/t04b, maybe out of efficiency -> causing higher iat's? -> causing knock?

how much total timing do you running now?

is your distri set correctly?

94 octane: about 10:1 with ls bottom end, gsr head, stock hg
iat's are real low, lower than i would tend to think, which makes me curious to if maybe the engine is adding timing cause of cool air. not out of range for t3/t04b, should be in a pretty sweet spot
total timing can be as low (if not lower) as 5 deg and its still knocks.
dizzy is set perfect
i am so lost

yea something is up in either the circuit board or in my wiring even though i shielded the wire. i switched ks last night and started a new map and had to pull over 10deg of timing in partial throttle to get it to quit knocking.
expletive it, i turned it off!

Honda knock sensors are about worthless. I'd just make sure you're atleast a degree or so from the knock threshold and have all of your compensation tables setup well.

The compensation tables seem to be set up well, im hitting the dyno tomorrow, so i should hopefully be able to fgiure out the timing a bit better then.
wish me luck!
