Default What Else Is there...

What electronics do I need for my setup to complete? I have boost and air/fuel gauges, hondata s200b, tach, .......I can't think of what other things I will need such as VAFC, more gauges, etc....

if you already have hondata, I wouldn't waste money on a VAFC. However, you could invest in EGT, oil level..ect.

If you have a hondata:
1.) Do not get a VAFC
2.) Do not get an MSD rev limiter/boost retard system (get a regular ignition)
3.) Do not get the "common" narrow-band A/F gauge. Get one, but make sure it is a wideband such as the AEM UEGO or the DynoJet Commander
4.) Gauges: You can get as many as you want, but a few important ones are: Water Temp, Boost, Wideband A/F, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, EGT, Fuel Pressure....from there its basically what ever gauge you want after that.

Sounds good so.. the autometer air/fuel gauge I have now is pretty much useless? Where might a good place be to find a wideband and which is most reccomended (don't wanna skimp out in anyway possible). Also I am unfamiliar with the "EGT" Gauge, if I am not mistaken, that's an abbrev. for..?

Thanks For Posting

As for monitoring an accurate A/F reading your current one isn't too useful. I would say go to AEM's website and then DynoJet's website and read up about their wideband sensors. It is mainly which one you like....alot of people have used the AEM one, but I have heard good things about both of them. I just bought the dynojet, but I can't tell you how it is just yet becaue it just came in yesterday. EGT just stands of Exhaust Gas Temperature. It is fairly important, but nescessarily a must have right now type thing.

PLX makes a good wideband... http://www.plxdevices.com

wideband, EGT, oil pressure, boost are the 4 must haves IMO. everything else is optional.

My guess would be no. Seeing as detonation is a quick occurance and an EGT isn't exactly the quickest in response. By the time anything changed on the EGT, I would say it'd be way too late.
