The 1/2" hose you see at the front valvecover is the actual breather... It is routed to a bung in the exhaust for an exhaust PCV evacuation.

Sorry, I think I skipped the page that was posted on as I was also very curious. No big deal man...

I can't wait to see a dyno sheet.

This is seriously making me question my 8.8:1 gsr build. I should have had the block decked and shaved the head a little more. $$$

how do you think 1 of these alternative turbos would do on your setup?
http://store.yahoo.com/cheaptu....html
http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gargt86ar.html

also what about comparing the 3 turbos also would be much appreciative. haha

edit

looking into it more. looks like the gt2871r would do well and not much laggier than the gt28rs.
compared to the gt25/40r the gt2871rs is better suited for my goals because of the low boost. looking at the maps, looks like the gt25/40 would rather run above 1 bar than compared to the gt2871rs. am i correct? or am i just blabbing about nonsense? haha

The amount of lag is really up to the driver of the car... When I selected my turbo, I chose exactly what I wanted the engine to make in terms of power. If 350+ WHP is your power goal, then eventually you'll have to step up to the next larger turbo. I only wanted about 300WHP, and the GT28RS will be at its peak efficiency at those power levels -- which is my turbo of choice

Keep in mind my previous setup was a 2.0L 14.5:1 CR all motor setup, and the engine response was insane. I can hit the gas at 2000RPM and my car would take off. So my definition of response is quite different than most guys here.

Just make sure you choose a turbo that will be running at it's efficiency range. Don't run the GT2871R at 6 psi or 200WHP or something. Don't step up to a turbo capable of 500WHP but only running it at 300WHP.

I can verify that the throttle response on this beast is almost instantaneous. Tony took me for a spin in the car. If I did not know better, I would say that the car was supercharged instead of turbo charged, the throttle response was that good.

The scary part was that the motor is still making power at 9000 RPM, you can't really feel a decrease in torque at that RPM
